Biography

Dr Jammie Lo is an experienced and passionate educator working in higher education for several years. Her research interests are in the areas of creative thinking, STEAM Education, trans-disciplinary learning, curriculum and pedagogy in early childhood music education. She is currently a Senior Lecturer and an Associate Head of Division at Hong Kong Metropolitan University.

Jammie plays a leadership role in programme development and quality assurance. She is a pioneer in developing the Professional Diploma in early childhood music education in Hong Kong. She has extensive field experience in curriculum development and conducts school-based workshops, providing teacher training in arts education for principals and frontline educators. Jammie is a veteran expert in research supervision with excellent appreciation and commendation from students.

Jammie is appointed as the Accreditation Panel Member by Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) to enhance the academic standard and quality of the vocational education programmes offered by the higher education institutions in Hong Kong. She is the recipient of Dean’s Award in Teaching Excellence at Hong Kong Baptist University and the National Teaching Excellence Award in the 7th China Youth Arts Festival.
